Resilience

Opening Reception Saturday, August 9, 3-6pm

Living on Vancouver Island, I am surrounded by diverse landscapes that continually inform my creative process. I explore the contrasts of destruction and renewal—whether it’s the tangled beauty of an overgrown garden, fog rolling in over a harbour, or wildflowers breaking through the cracks of urban sprawl. These moments speak to the resilience and strength inherent in nature, themes that resonate deeply in my work.

Each piece is a meditation on the complex relationship between destruction, stagnation, regeneration, and growth. It’s through this lens that I hope to create art that not only reflects the resilience of nature but also prompts reflection on our own relationship with the world around us.
