An interactive workshop weaving women’s lore, expressive arts and dialogue gathered while exploring our cultural roots and family traditions.

Included: A bespoke poetry folio and soundscape inspired by an exhibit with Virginia Gillespie (words) and Elizabeth Carefoot (robes & objects).

This Gage Gallery event launches the Grandmothers’ Basket Project.

Writer, Musician Virginia Gillespie devises mixed-arts projects and events as an innovative tool to inspire personal, relational and transcultural change. A recipient of the 2016 Surrey Civic Treasure Award, she continues her work in community engagement and arts advocacy.
