Sandy Voldeng is a long-standing exhibitor at the Greater Victoria Art Gallery. Her work has also been exhibited at juried events at Victoria Arts Council’s Gallery and the Sooke Fine Arts Show.
I love working with my hands … molding the clay … sometimes one piece at a time, sometimes rolling it and stacking it to the desired form. I love the human form with all its imperfections. The genesis of my work is born from my own experiences, from those close to me and from those with whom I’ve connected through my travels in different countries and cultures.
I do hope that people connect with the feelings I’m trying to evoke through my work and thus give it life.
